With a series of concrete benches as our canvas, I designed a timeline and map that shares the Boston Wharf Company’s early history and impact in Fort Point. I researched the Company and neighborhood’s history and worked with a writer to develop a timeline on the four smaller benches. Each timeline period includes an architectural detail unique to Boston Wharf Company buildings and a quote that speaks to the Company’s impact. The larger bench includes a map that shows the changing Fort Point Channel shoreline as a result of the Boston Wharf Company development.
