Boston Public Library Jamaica Plain Branch
Public Art Concepts
Boston, MA
Each member of our Arrowstreet graphic design team developed concepts a call for artists proposal submission for the City of Boston. My concept was to create a typographic sculpture to act as a gateway to downtown Jamaica Plain, located on the lawn of the Jamaica Plain branch. I wanted the sculpture to include messages that connect with the Library’s “Free to All.” Messages such as “love to all,” “peace to all,” “health to all,” “kindness to all” would be engraved on the sculpture and act as reminders of free ways to support one another. While our submissions to the City were written only, we developed concept sketches to share internally.
