Society of Arts + Crafts
Signage and Environmental Graphics
Boston, MA

After working with the Society of Arts + Crafts on their rebranding, the graphic design studio worked on unique signage and environmental graphics for the interior and exterior. To highlight the entrance, I collaborated with an architect on a faceted illuminated canopy over the doorway. The pattern incorporates plus signs which derived from the new A+C mark, meant to be a way to share the organization’s dedication to inclusivity. Designing the pattern by hand, I worked with an architect who developed the canopy structure that was built by Design Communications Ltd. (DCL).

The interior included a continuation of the canopy pattern onto the entrance ceiling and understated wall graphics to allow the focus to be on the gallery and retail shop.

Completed while working as a graphic designer at Sasaki Associates in collaboration with Sam Pease, Director of Environmental Graphic Design.
